Belvedere Municipal Elections
The City of Belvedere consolidates elections with the County of Marin through the Registrar of Voters. Important dates and deadlines regarding elections can be obtained from the Marin County Registrar of Voters' website. The five members of the Belvedere City Council are elected to four year terms. In July 2019, the City Council approved changing the regular municipal election schedule to coincide with the general election in November of even-numbered years. Council Member terms are staggered so that no more than three Council Member seats are up for election at any one time. The next Belvedere City Council election will occur on November 8, 2022.
Registering to Vote
You can obtain a hard-copy voter registration form at City Hall to register to vote or you can register to vote via California's Online Voter Registration. The County of Marin's Voter Information Portal allows you to check your voter registration and view your districts and elected officials, vote by mail status, polling place directions and other election information.
Statements of Economic Interests
The elected officials identified in Section 87200 CGC who file statements of economic interests with the Belvedere City Clerk are the five members of the City Council, seven members of the Planning Commission, City Manager, City Attorney, and Finance Director. Copies of these statements of economic interests may be obtained by visiting the office of the Fair Political Practices Commission (428 J Street, Suite, 620, Sacramento, CA 95814) or the office of the City Clerk (450 San Rafael Avenue, Belvedere, CA 94920). Statements of economic interests for some state and local government agency elected officers may be available in an electronic format on the Commission's Internet website.
