Dear Belvedere Resident,

Today the City Council met at a publicly-noticed meeting to adopt and ratify the Proclamation of Local Emergency Due to COVID-19 and to appoint Public Works Manager Robert Zadnik to the position of Assistant Director of Emergency Services [].  This Declaration of Emergency, issued March 16, 2020, will allow the City to become eligible to receive state and federal reimbursement for costs associated with the emergency, should these anticipated funds become available. This action will also help the City take actions needed to respond to Marin County Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis’ order, issued earlier this week, that requires most residents to shelter in place.  Among other things, we are working to enhance our conferencing platforms for more frequent remote public hearings.
