New City Website
Spring 2011
As announced via E-News in November 2010, the City Council awarded a contract to CivicPlus - Next Generation Government Websites - to design, develop, and debut the City's new website Spring 2011.
We expect the site to be moving online in May 2011. The newly designed website will feature online and interactive resources such as:
- ePayment systems
- online applications and forms
- a media center
- photo gallery
- citizen request forms (including a smartphone app)
- electronic "notify me" solutions
- online event/meeting calendars
- document archives
- social media integration
- emergency and community Alerts
- bid postings
- RSS feeds
- Interactive news flash!
And More! As the site develops we will provide snippets and sneak previews. We expect the site to be fully operational and online by May 2011. If you've got an idea for something you would like the City site to be able to provide - let us know - now is the time to see if we can incorporate it into the design!
We expect to integrate the City's E-News, Blog, RSS Podcast, Facebook and Twitter as well! As we make the transition, if you are a subscriber to the City's E-News or Blog, your subscription will be migrated to the new design. The new website will also make it easier for the City to post information, news, and updates. We're excited!

DRAFT Flood Management/Mitigation Plan

|
Public Comment Period
City of Belvedere DRAFT Flood
Management/Mitigation Plan
In the past, the City has been faced with flooding and drainage problems that have flooded buildings and resulted in significant economic impacts. The City developed a Flood Mitigation Plan consistent with the federally prescribed planning process for the development of the Plan. Through the goals of the Plan, the City seeks to maintain and enhance a disaster resistant community by reducing the potential loss of life, property damage, and environmental degradation from floods, while accelerating economic recovery from those floods.
The Plan will be adopted as an Appendix to the City's General Plan Environmental Hazards: Safety and Stability Element and will be submitted to FEMA for adoption. The document linked here is a DRAFT Flood Management Plan set out for public review prior to scheduled adoption by the City Council at their February meeting. The Plan will be reviewed by the City's Citizens' Flood Zone Committee at the January 12 meeting and by the City's Planning Commission at their January 18 meeting.
If you have comments regarding the Plan, feel free to attend one of the public meetings and/or send your comments to City Manager George Rodericks at grodericks@cityofbelvedere.org.
