Rain Causes Challenges
As many of you may have noticed, the City Hall patio is under construction to repair a long-time wet weather leak that inundates the downstairs Police Department and Community Center. The project was well underway and patio exposed to the elements with the expectation of continuing dry weather when seemingly out of nowhere - an unseasonal summer rainstorm.
The entrance to City Hall was already temporarily relocated to the rear Council Chambers entrance. This too now has to be closed off to allow a complete seal on the waterproofing until the rain passes. ENTRY TO CITY HALL HAS BEEN RELOCATED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ENTRY WHICH WILL ALLOW ACCESS UPSTAIRS VIA ELEVATOR. PLEASE KNOCK OR RING THE DOORBELL FOR ENTRY. Since the elevator drops out into the staff areas, visitors will be escorted to the front reception area for service.
