Car Show.jpgTiburon Classic Car Show To Benefit Senior Access

Senior Access, an innovative program that provides a mix of expressive arts, entertainment and personal care to folks with memory loss, has been selected as one of charities benefitting from the proceeds of the Tiburon Classic Car Show. The Tiburon Classic Car Show will take place on Saturday, June 16 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Tiburon Waterfront Park in Tiburon, with an early evening reception and showing of Le Mans (the greatest racing movie ever made) beginning at 5:30 PM at the Tiburon Town Hall.

The car show is a wonderful community event, held annually in Tiburon near the ferry boat landing, against the beautiful backdrop of the Tiburon Waterfront Park. The show celebrates the beauty of classic automobiles (produced prior to 1971). This year’s showcased car is the Porsche 917K race car featured in the classic motor racing movie, Le Mans. The car show is free and open to the public.

There will be an after-show party at the Tiburon Town Hall starting at 5:30pm, with light refreshments provided by Servino Ristorante. A $50 donation for the after-party will benefit Senior Access. To register, go to the Tiburon Classic Car Show’s website:

“We’re really excited about the after-party,” said Tom O’Neil, President of the Tiburon Classic Car Show. “Steve McQueen won’t be there, of course, but his car will! By joining us, people will have a fun evening getting close to some exciting cars, seeing a classic racing movie, and also help out a very worth nonprofit organization.”

“We are thrilled to be chosen once again as a beneficiary of the Tiburon Classic Car Show event,” said Cris Chater, Executive Director of Senior Access. “We’ve formed deep ties with the Tiburon/Belvedere community and are honored to be recognized as a good neighbor.”

Senior Access is Marin’s favorite social club for folks with memory loss. The Club is a mix of expressive arts, entertainment and personal care provided by professionally trained staff.  Senior Access operates clubs in San Rafael and Belvedere.
