As part of the City Council’s ongoing commitment to community preparedness, the Be Ready Belvedere team distributed 75 Go-Bag backpacks and emergency supplies to residents. An additional 20 backpacks were provided to staff for use in case they need to evacuate while at work. This successful event also shared important information about evacuation procedures and what should be in your Go Bag. Didn’t get one? Find a backpack, designate it for this purpose, and gather essential supplies, such as an extra pair of glasses, a first aid kit, an N95 mask, cell phone charger, and any necessary medications. Next, Be Ready Belvedere will focus on helping Belvedere residents learn how to assemble a Stay Box and safely shelter in place.
