At the November 10 City Council meeting, Councilmember Peter Mark, representative to the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), reported on a new program MASCOTS that will better coordinate public transportation from Sonoma through Marin by syncing bus, ferry, and SMART train schedules. For the Tiburon Peninsula, that means shorter wait times when connecting to buses at Strawberry. The program is expected to launch in Spring 2026.
In addition, Mayor Jane Cooper announced that as of November 14, Marin Humane will serve as the lead community agency for Belvedere’s coyote-related issues, offering expertise and support for residents. See the article below.
Also, the City Council adopted the 6th Cycle Housing Element Update. Together with the newly adopted zoning ordinances, this marks the conclusion of a four-year effort to ensure Belvedere meets state housing requirements through the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
