Park Lane

The next time you stroll through Community Park or hike up one of our lanes, give a nod of thanks to Belvedere’s Parks, Open Spaces and Lanes Committee (POSLC). This volunteer committee collaborates closely with our Department of Public Works (DPW) to oversee and enhance city-owned property, including 23 lanes, 4 parks, the children’s playground and various open spaces.

One of their major recent projects – the renovation of the Park Lane staircase – is now complete, with a new bench positioned for Golden Gate Bridge viewing. A smaller project, proposed by a local high-school student, resulted in sunscreen dispensers being installed in both Community Park bathrooms. And in response to resident concerns, DPW will be removing the smaller “sand dune bumps” in the Community Park playground this fall. Do you have an idea for POSLC? They would love to hear from you.
