Over the past two years, the Belvedere Police Department has faced several staffing setbacks, which have challenged its existing staffing and coverage model. Although Belvedere has six active officers in the budget — Chief Jason Wu plus five duty officers — due to a long-term disability leave, there are only four duty officers currently available.
