This summer, Belvedere upgraded its automated license plate reader cameras to the Flock Safety System. Flock is widely adopted by Marin County law enforcement agencies and is becoming the industry standard throughout California. This new platform improves accuracy, has greater search capabilities, and integratesdirectly with surrounding agencies. This means our police can receive real-time alerts on stolen vehicles, wanted suspects, and can share information seamlessly with neighboring police departments. Overall, this update translates into a more effective tool for deterring crime and keeping Belvedere safe.
As with the previous camera system, Flock only captures vehicle license plates and does not collect personal information, facial recognition, or anything tied to individuals
