Slurry Seal Road Project: August 7-8 and August 11-12

Posted on July 25, 2025

Road Work Ahead

As part of the city’s road maintenance program, a slurry seal project will take place Thursday, August 7 through Friday, August 8, and Monday August 11 through Tuesday, August 12. Slurry seal is a coating that is applied to the paving surface to protect and extend the lifetime of roads for up to 7 years.

Residents on affected streets – Pine Ave., Eucalyptus Rd., Tamalpais Ave., Community Rd., Peninsula Rd., and Lagoon Rd. – will receive detailed information about how to prepare and what to expect. But everyone should be aware that these roads will be fully or partially closed during the project. Traffic will be detoured where needed, and no vehicles, parking, pedestrians or cyclists will be allowed on the streets while work is being done. Please pay attention to traffic signs and flaggers.

Visit the Slurry Seal Maintenance Project webpage for more details, and keep up-to-date on this project and other road projects by signing up for Road Closure & Traffic Alerts.
