About

The Office of the City Clerk is the compliance and public information office of the City, tasked with ensuring that our local government operates transparently and conforms with federal, state and local statutes. City Clerk duties include:

  • Administering local elections, including acting as the local filing officer
  • Serving as the custodian of City records
  • Preparing and posting public meeting agendas and related documents
  • Preparing meeting recordings, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, etc.
  • Receiving claims, summons, appeals and lawsuits
  • Maintaining the municipal code
  • Maintaining the administrative policy manual
  • Maintaining custody of the City Seal
  • Administering the Oath of Office
  • Maintaining the City's website and newsletter
