Tiburon Peninsula Yellow Bus School Program Manager Opening

The Tiburon Peninsula Traffic Relief Joint Power Agency (JPA) seeks a strategic, energetic, focused, and creative part-time person to manage the day-to-day operations of the Tiburon Peninsula Yellow School Bus Program.

The program runs seven Reed Union School District (RUSD) school routes in Tiburon, Belvedere and Corte Madera, serving hundreds of kids. The program builds community, helps the environment and gets kids to school on time.

About the Position
This is an exempt, part-time (hourly) contract position. Hours are flexible.

The YBC seeks a creative individual to oversee all operational aspects of the program including: vendor management, website content, processing bus pass sales and refunds, assisting Marin Transit and RUSD in communicating with passholders and liaising with software developers.

The Program Manager also prepares agenda materials and takes minutes for JPA Board meetings and reports on success metrics including: satisfaction survey, ridership data, traffic mitigation and school demographics to optimize future programs.

The program is currently funded by ticket sales (about 50%) and by contributions from the cities, the county, grants and donations. To ensure the vitality and financial sustainability of the program, other options must be developed and implemented. The Program Manager may work with the JPA Board to research, evaluate and present financing options.
