Finance Committee

About

The Finance Committee's role is to provide financial oversight to the City of Belvedere. It is responsible for reviewing the draft annual budget and the annual audit, and sending its recommendation to the City Council.

From time to time, the Finance Committee is asked to provide its opinion on other finance-related items affecting the City.

Members

The Finance Committee comprises five members appointed by the City Council to serve four-year terms without term limits. Members typically have a background in finance, economics, or tax and accounting.

Two Council Members are also appointed annually by the Council as non-voting members.

Meeting Schedule

The Finance Committee generally meets three times yearly, twice to review the draft annual budget and once to review the annual audit.
