Historic Property Designation

Title 21 of the Belvedere Municipal Code was adopted in 1993 to protect and preserve significant sites and structures that impart a distinct aspect and ambiance as visible reminders of the Belvedere's historical heritage. A site or structure must fit specific criteria to be considered as having historical significance.
Title 21 also established the Historic Preservation Committee and its authority to review planning applications for work at historic properties and review applications to designate new historic properties.
