Mills Act Program
About
The Mills Act is a California state law enacted in 1976 to provide financial incentives for preserving private properties of historical importance. It allows municipalities to grant property tax relief to property owners to help defray the costs of restoring, rehabilitating, and maintaining their historic properties.
Belvedere established its Mills Act Program in 1993 and discontinued it in 2024.
